Thank You PG&E - Our students...our future...
GETA, the Edison High School green energy academy sponsored by PG&E celebrated it's first year and plans for the future. Our students worked in teams to research different types of energy and then built models based on what they had learned. I had the pleasure of working with the students, introducing them to academic research. The students utilized the BIg 6 model, while using Gale's GREENR database as a lauchpad. Once the teams gathered their information, they went to work on both the written aspects to the project as well as the physical model of the energy method researched. With the collaboration of the English, Science, Social Science, Library teachers, as well as, our administration, Superindent Michael Hansen and the parnership between PG&E our students are on their way to reaching new academic accomplishments.
